When the aftermath of Cohen’s terrifying experience threatens to change the course of his life forever, Lily fears she’s to blame and reaches out to him anonymously. Through the course of time, and the exchanging of notes withholding her identity, Lily has to decide if she’s able to look past the danger she poses to help her newfound friend, or stay in the shadows, watching his downfall from afar.

Maybe it’s possible that these unlikely friends may be able to help each other face the mountain of obstacles life has placed in their paths.

About the author

Hi! I’m Lesley, and I love to read and write Contemporary Young Adult novels. Most of my stories center around trauma, grief, and other realistic experiences teens face. After spending many years being a private voice instructor to high school students, I became interested in their struggles. I’ve heard many stories and confessions through the years, things that weighed heavily on my student’s hearts. I decided to combine my story-making brain, my love for YA books, and my own experiences with my students into one. And I’m loving every minute of it! After moving to Georgia with my husband and young son, my voice studio has lessened, and my writing increased. You can find me upstairs in my office, typing away, with the faint sounds of Minecraft wafting in from my son’s room. My office floor is usually littered with foot-crushing Legos, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Writing is my joy and passion. My goal is to move my readers and make them feel something, and I hope you all experience this when you read my books.
